U2: THE JOSHUA TREE TOUR 2017 ARRIVES TO BARCELONA.

Barcelona is the only Spanish city where you can enjoy U2: THE JOSHUA TREE TOUR 2017.

Today, Tuesday July 18 U2:THE JOSHUA TREE TOUR 2017 arrives to Barcelona, a tour whose first part ended last July 1 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland on his North American tour in which they have gathered more than one million fans . With more than 2.4 million tickets sold for their concerts in North America, South America, Mexico and Europe, U2: THE JOSHUA TREE TOUR 2017 is without doubt one of the most successful tours of this year.

U2: THE JOSHUA TREE TOUR 2017 began on May 12 at BC Place in Vancouver and two days later it debuted in the USA at CenturyLink Field in Seattle and, as we mentioned earlier, ended the past July 1, collecting many positive reviews, the most important that has received U2 within the North American continent. Some of these criticisms are detailed below. For example, the New York Times commented: “At The Joshua Tree concert, members of the band made a stage that stretched across the stadium. They grew on him just as his career had done … within those dimensions they might look small, but not their music. Larry Mullen Jr. on drums, Adam Clayton on bass and The Edge on guitar were completely submerged to merge in the beats of “Where the Streets Have No Name.” Unlike the abrupt postpunk rhythm of “Bullet the Blue Sky”,  both Bono’s falsetto and Edge’s guitar solos seemed passionate siren chants. “

“A live concert without equal” – Rolling Stones Magazine.

The Irish band has performed concerts in more than 20 stadiums on their North American tour, hanging the “no tickets” sign on all of them. 30 years since the publication of The Joshua Tree, they released in 2017 their fifth studio album on which they base their two-hour show. The Joshua Tree contains emblematic themes of the band such as “Where the Streets Have No Name”, “I Still Have not Found What I’m Looking For” or “With or Without You”. The album was produced by Brian Eno and Daniel Lenois and the image of the artwork was made by photographer Anton Corbijn, who also worked for other bands like Joy Division and Depeche Mode, among others.

“Thirty years in which U2 music has not bored, thanks to hopeful lyrics and the captivating power of the Irish band” – USA Today.

U2: THE JOSHUA TREE TOUR 2017 arrived in the United Kingdom on July 8 and 9 with two apotheosic concerts and arrives today in Barcelona in the only Bono´s band performance in our country, a concert that also has the poster Of “sold out” in their entries that are nominative to avoid resale. For the concert that will take place at the Olympic Stadium, it is recommended to go two hours in advance to avoid problems of agglomeration at the entrance. Spectacles of this size are what make Barcelona a special city in which to make a photographic or audiovisual production and combine them with leisure activities as special as this.
