BÚNKERS DEL CARMEL: SHOOTING FOR AVIREX WITH A 360º VIEW.

The Búnkers del Carmel,  the perfect place for your shootings.

The Búnkers del Carmel, also known as a spot for its amazing view Turó de la Rovira, are the remains of an antiaircraft battery that was built during the Spanish Civil War with the intention to protect Barcelona from air attacks of the Francoist army.

In 2011, the new heritage site of the Turó de la Rovira was inaugurated after some arrangements, the place until then was quite isolated and degraded, and became a splendid viewpoint with 360º views of the whole city of Barcelona and nowadays receives a high number of visitors, both from Barcelona and from tourists who decide to make the trip to enjoy those incredible views.

The Búnkers del Carmel is also used by many fashion brands and other type of brands as a great location for their shootings or audiovisual productions, taking advantage of the wonderful skyline of the Ciudad Condal as a backdrop for their work.

We also paid a visit to the The Búnkers del Carmel with the objective of producing a fashionable photographic and audiovisual content for the brand Avirex, the brand mostly known because of its military jackets (especially its model B3, the mythical jacket worn by the actor Tom Cruise in the movie Top Gun).

Avirex’s story is that of a small factory in Long Island (New York) that produced a small number of leather jackets for the Navy, the Air Force and the United States Army. Nowadays you will find in their stores worldwide a full collection of jackets, shirts, knitwear, shoes and handbags. Over the years, many celebrities were dressed by Avirex: Tom Cruise, Steve McQueen, Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Silvester Stallone, Anthony Quinn, Eminem, The Backstreet Boys and Ben Affleck, among others.

Our shooting for the American brand took place while reaching the top of the viewpoint of The Búnkers del Carmel. It was a very entertaining climb up and the result was as requested thanks to an excellent teamwork. See here our teaser.
