The Culture of Skateboarding

RVD Media Group´s production team discovered the essence of this passion rooted in Barcelona

From Sant Adrià del Besòs, the photography and video production team made a shooting dedicated to the culture of skate for Not Just Fashion Magazine.

Away from the urban city of Barcelona we found the perfect scenario to capture the essence of a culture that is looking to explore and communicate with the suburban through its shapes. The surroundings of the famous abandoned factory were used as a playground by the the skaters Daniel Jenks and Symeon Jamal Williams, where, among the tricks, we discovered their passion for skating.

Both have been recognised in the skateboarding scene in Spain, and were excited to participate in this production. The film is guided by the voice of the musician Ian Mackaye, who speaks about the feeling of skateboarding.

Thanks to the quality of the work made in production and video direction, “Keep Pushing” was among the nominated films participating in Barcelona Sports Film Festival 2016.
