Angel Manrique is a Venezuelan self-passionate photographer with a distinct look and frame. His view of space, composition, light and meaning, has a clear signature of his studies in Architecture, Social Communications, Film and Imagery. Since he started capturing images he stated his love for the picture that “talks”, as he calls it. According to him, an image must have an impact. It must tell a story; it must communicate: a feeling, a concept, or a point of view to whoever sees it. His passion for imagery has lead him to participate in both film and photography projects. A conjunction he feels is a very natural fusion. This is perhaps why his photographic work frolics with an almost cinematique-like sense that he is very fond of. This point of view has well been taken advantage by several well-known brands that seek an image that “tells a story”.
