Ángel Manrique

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Angel obtained a degree in Social Communication in 2005 and has been passionate about all aspects of the audiovisual world since the beginning of his career back in 1999.

His post-production work earned him an award for Best Editing in a Feature in The Venezuelan Film Festival, and has taken him to collaborate for several well-known production companies such as HBO, Sony Entertainment and E! Entertainment. In addition, he has worked as camera operator for Discovery Channel, Director of Photography, and even underwater cameraman validated by a National Geographic PADI underwater photography certification.

Due to his background and experience, he also worked during 4 years as Associate Producer at Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) for various TV shows in Latin-America including Emmy award-winning franchise version, “The Amazing Race”, America´s Funniest Home Videos Latam & “La CQ” for Cartoon Networks.

Angel participated in more than a dozen short films as a cinematographer in the Master in Cinematography from ESCAC in Barcelona, which he decided to take motivated by his eagerness to strengthen his professional profile in the audiovisual industry.
